Punjab Secretary Schools Education Mudassar Riaz said that all private schools are bound to educate 10 percent of poor and deserving children free of cost, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Chairing a meeting of private schools Mudassar Riaz warned that strict action will be taken against private schools that do not provide free education to deserving students.
Secretary School Education told the meeting that the registration period of private schools is being increased from one year to four years.
He said an academic calendar has also been prepared to extend the duration of the academic session.
Mudassar Riaz said registration will be issued on uploading the building fitness certificate papers online.
In case of accidents, an FIR will be filed against the concerned school principal or engineer, Mudassar Riaz said.
He said private schools should not have commercial charges.
Mudassar Riaz said legislation is also being made regarding the registration of academies.
A meeting of the District Registering Authority will be mandatory every month.
