Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Mir Ali has trashed reports that Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has asked former president and PPP Co-Chairman for a favour for Najam Sethi, former PCB chief, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a tweet uploaded on Wednesday, the minister described such reports as baseless and a bundle of lies.
Amir Mir said the chief minister is in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and he has not asked for keeping Najam Sethi as PCB chairman.

On the other hand, family sources of Najam Sethi have revealed that the former PCB chairman had not travelled to Dubai; hence question of meeting anyone does not arise.
According to sources, Najam Sethi had reached London via a transit flight on Tuesday.
