Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will travel to Iran to attend the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, resulting in the postponement of the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to party sources, Bilawal's visit to Iran has led to the deferment of the swearing-in ceremony of Amjad Hussain, who was elected as the new chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The oath-taking ceremony had originally been scheduled for July 1, but it has now been postponed until Bilawal returns from Iran.
PPP sources said a new date for the ceremony will be announced after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari completes his visit to Iran.
