The Musa Pak train derailed near Pattoki railway station while travelling from Multan to Lahore, officials said.
According to railway officials, all four wheels of the train suddenly came off the track near the station.
Rescue teams and officials from relevant departments reached the spot soon after the incident was reported.
Passengers panicked after the derailment and got off the train.
The station master said all passengers remained safe in the accident.
He said an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the derailment.
