Police on Sunday arrested two suspected drug traffickers in separate operations in Dera Ghazi Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Officials said that police foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics from Balochistan to Punjab and recovered a total of 43 kilograms of narcotics.
According to a police spokesperson, officers from Sakhi Sarwar Police Station arrested the suspect, Ejaz Ahmed, and recovered 3 kilograms of ice from his possession.
In a separate operation, police arrested another suspect, identified as Ikhlaq and seized 40 kilograms of hashish.
Police said the arrested individuals are residents of Ziarat and Kohlu districts of Balochistan.
Police said further investigation is underway to trace the drug trafficking network and the facilitators of drug smuggling.
