Badr Abdelatty, the foreign minister of Egypt, arrived in Pakistan on an official visit on Saturday, marking an important step in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
According to diplomatic sources, the Egyptian foreign minister landed at Nur Khan Air Base at around 10 am. He was received by senior officials, including representatives from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the Egyptian Ambassador and embassy staff.
A spokesperson for the Foreign Office confirmed that the visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's foreign minister and deputy prime minister. During his stay, Badr Abdelatty is expected to hold consultations on the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest.
The visiting dignitary is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
Officials say the visit reflects the close and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Egypt, as well as their continued collaboration on regional and international issues.
