A potential disaster was narrowly avoided when the Karachi Express, en route from Lahore to Karachi, encountered a technical failure near Sarhari in Nawabshah on Wednesday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, one of the train’s coaches experienced a wheel jam, forcing the locomotive to come to an emergency halt near Lundo village.
Despite the urgent situation, no railway personnel had reached the site even after two hours, leaving passengers stranded in sweltering heat, facing discomfort and growing frustration.
According to railway officials, a maintenance crew has now been dispatched to the location. The affected coach will be detached, and the rest of the train will resume its journey toward Karachi once the issue is resolved.
