The Pakistan Pavilion at Osaka Expo 2025 has emerged as a magnet for international visitors, captivating global attention with its theme of sustainability, cultural heritage, and natural assets.
According to the 24NewsHD TV Channel, during a press conference at the expo, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan proudly stated that Himalayan pink salt, a signature natural resource of Pakistan, is gaining worldwide recognition.
He emphasised the multipurpose utility of pink salt—in food, wellness, and industrial products—and revealed that Pakistan’s pink salt exports to Japan alone have reached $3 million.
This is just one of many success stories for Pakistani exports, as Jam Kamal also highlighted the global popularity of Pakistan’s textiles, leather goods, surgical tools, and sports equipment, he said.
Speaking on the country’s digital potential, the minister said, "Pakistan’s youth in IT and technology are the future of the world."
Jam Kamal also visited the pavilions of Japan, the UK, the US, China, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, engaging with global participants and inviting them to attend Pakistan’s National Day on August 14.
He noted that the Pakistan Pavilion is a harmonious blend of sustainability, culture, and natural wealth and reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding the global market for pink salt through value addition and international branding.
