Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8.0 Beta Programme, based on Android 16.
The beta is currently rolling out to Galaxy S25 series users in South Korea, with availability expected to expand soon to other regions where Samsung typically releases beta updates.
Galaxy S25 Series Receives First One UI 8.0 Beta
Users of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in South Korea are now receiving the first beta update, which comes with firmware version S9x8NKSU3ZYER.
The update is approximately 3.3GB in size for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and includes the May 2025 security patch. File sizes may vary slightly across models.
Samsung has confirmed that the beta will also be released in Germany, the UK, and the US in the coming weeks.
While One UI 8.0 doesn’t introduce a major visual overhaul like One UI 7.0 did, it brings numerous new features and improvements across the system.
