Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is recovering fast after she underwent a major surgery at a hospital in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a post uploaded on X platform on Thursday, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the chief minister underwent major surgery at the Sharif Medical City Hospital, after which she has been shifted to home.
The minister further said “Alhamdulillah. On the day of Eid, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directly oversaw all the matters in the province, including security, cleanliness, and others, from the hospital.”
In her post, Marriyum Aurangzeb did not specify what kind of surgery CM Maryam Nawaz underwent.
However, media reports suggested that she underwent throat surgery.
