Pakistan and Saudi interior ministers mulled ways to further enhance security cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on his Saudi counterpart Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif at Mina where the Pakistani minister had gone to perform Hajj.
Both the interior ministers congratulated each other on Eid al-Adha and expressed their best wishes for each other.
The Saudi Interior Minister congratulated his Pakistani counterpart, Mohsin Naqvi, on performing Hajj.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the Saudi government's excellent arrangements during Hajj.
It was agreed during the meeting that a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior will soon visit Pakistan to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Both interior ministers also discussed the latest situation in the region wjo;e the Saudi Arabia's Interior Minister appreciated Pakistan's positive role in reducing tensions.
According to an Interior Ministry statement, “It was decided that 200 personnel of the Federal Constabulary Special Diplomatic Protection Unit will receive training in Saudi Arabia.”
According to Saudi Gazette, Saudi Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif held talks with Pakistani interior minister at the Saudi ministry’s headquarters in Makkah on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to further enhance security cooperation and coordination between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
A number of topics of mutual interest were also figured in their talks.
