An arrested accused was killed in a police shootout with criminals in the Manawan area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Reportedly, the CIA police were taking accused Bilal to Manawan for the identification of his accomplices. But seeing the police party coming, his accomplices opened fire on them. As a result, accused Bilal who was accompanying the police party was hit by his accomplices’ bullet and died. However, the policemen remained unhurt during the shootout.
Deceased Bilal was arrested in a dacoity incident while his accomplices had managed to flee.
Police said the body of the accused was sent to the morgue for post mortem. They said hunt was on for his fleeing accomplices.
