As many as 21 children were injured when a school bus collided with a truck and plunged into a roadside drain in Sheikhupura on Tuesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The incident occurred near Shaheen Villas Steel Mill Bypass in Sheikhupura.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the accident occurred when the bus, carrying schoolchildren, hit a truck and lost control, causing it to fall into the drain. Rescue teams quickly reached the site and safely pulled the children out of the bus.
The officials said that seven children received minor injuries and were treated on the spot, while fifteen others were shifted to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Driver dies in road accident in Kandiaro
One man died and two others received serious injuries when a water tanker was overturned on an under-construction Padidan Naushero Feroz Link Road in Kandiaro.
Soon after the accident, police team reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to local hospital.
Later, the police, after completing the necessary procedure, handed over the dead bodies to their heirs for burial.
