Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has fixed purchased price of AMI single-phase smart meter at Rs14,786, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to report, General Sales Tax will be levied on the company’s fixed price.
The Material Management Department sent a letter to the Director Customer Services before issuing the purchase order.
The Directorate of Customer Services was informed about the price of smart meter in the letter.
The list price issued by the Regional Store Manager’s Office will be charged for cable charges.
The price of demand notice of single-phase meter will increase at the fixed price.
Consumers will have to deposit approximately Rs20,000 for single phase smart meter.
Currently, the company has outsourced the purchase of single-phase smart meters.
