Police in Lahore have arrested a police officer, who had robbed a citizen of cash in Shahdara locality of the city 10 days ago, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Masti Gate Police have succeeded in arresting Sub-Inspector (SI) Ammar with the help of CCTV footage, which had gone viral on social media.
Ammar, who is posted in Operations Wing at New Anarkali police station, had robbed the citizen of Rs477,000 in connivance with a hardened criminal.
The suspect has been handed over to the CCD for questioning.
