The number of patients exhibiting COVID-19-like symptoms is reportedly rising in Lahore, while government teaching hospitals lack facilities to diagnose the virus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Patients presenting with symptoms including cough, fever, breathing difficulties, and severe body aches are being reported on a daily basis, according to sources.
However, the cases remain unconfirmed as COVID-19 testing is not being conducted at government teaching hospitals.
Sources said government teaching hospitals have failed to arrange COVID-19 testing facilities, leaving patients without proper confirmation of their condition.
The absence of testing and diagnosis has also resulted in a lack of measures to identify and contain the virus.
