The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the last date for filing sales tax and federal excise duty (FED) returns till September 30, 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The Federal Board of Revenue stated that the date was extended to facilitate taxpayers and due to technical glitches in the FBR tax return system.
FBR stated that corporate organizations also approached to extend the date of filing of sales tax returns.
The FBR also informed the Commissioner Inland Revenue about the extension of the date of filing of tax returns.
The Federal Board of Revenue also granted additional time to DISCOs, corporate taxpayers, to file their tax returns.
