Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Justice Aalia Neelum on Monday approved a new schedule for judges to hear cases from 5th May to 5th July, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
There will be 12 division benches and 26 single benches. The division benches will hear different types of cases from Monday to Thursday.
The first division bench will have Chief Justice Aalia Neelam and Justice Abhar Gul Khan, who will hear all types of cases.
The second division bench will be headed by Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Asim Hafeez and it will handle civil cases.
The third bench will include Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza and Justice Abid Hussain Chatha.
There will be more benches with judges like Justice Syed Shabazz Ali Rizvi, Justice Tariq Mehmood Bajwa and Justice Faisal Zaman Khan.
All 24 judges in the division benches will also work as single-bench judges.
However, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan and Justice Mohammad Raza Qureshi will only hear cases as single-bench judges.
This new plan will help to manage many cases in the Lahore High Court.
