Quetta Gladiators beat Multan Sultans by 10 wickets after chasing down the modest 90-run target in just 8 overs in the 17th match of the Pakistan
Super League season 10 at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Tuesday.
After dismantling Multan Sultans for a paltry 89 runs in 17 overs, Quetta made a mockery of the chase with captain Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen showcasing aggressive and clinical batting.
Saud remained not out on 40, while Allen smashed a blistering 46-run innings, ensuring that Quetta sealed victory without losing a single wicket.
Earlier, the Quetta Gladiators offered a sensational bowling performance to bundle out Multan Sultans for a mere 89 runs.
Winning the toss, Quetta opted to field first, a decision that proved effective as Multan's batting order collapsed under relentless pressure.
Khurram Shehzad was key who destroyed Sultans by taking 4 wickets for just 23 runs in his 4 overs.
His pace, precision, and ability to extract bounce made life miserable for Multan’s batters.
Supporting him ably were Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Faheem Ashraf, who took 2 wickets each.
Multan’s only resistance came from captain Mohammad Rizwan, who remained unbeaten with a valiant 44-run knock.
Despite his efforts, wickets continued to fall at the other end.
Notable Yasir Khan, Usman Khan, Kamran Ghulam, Michael Bracewell, and Curtis Campher failed to even reach double figures.
The Sultans were bowled out in just 17 overs, posting a total of 89 runs, which now ranks among the lowest in PSL history.
