Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday expressed gratitude over the successful test-fire of the Fateh-II missile by the Pakistan Army.
In her statement, the chief minister congratulated military personnel, scientists and engineers for the achievement, calling it a significant demonstration of Pakistan’s defence capabilities.
She noted that the Fateh-II missile is equipped with modern avionics and advanced navigation technology, enabling it to strike targets with high precision at a range of up to 400 kilometres.
Maryam emphasised that while Pakistan advocates for peace, it does not neglect its defence preparedness. She added that the range, proficiency, and survivability of the country’s conventional missile systems will continue to improve.
Highlighting the system’s capabilities, she said the Fateh-2 missile is also designed to evade and defeat enemy missile defence systems, further strengthening Pakistan’s strategic deterrence.
