Rajab Butt has introduced actress Sumaiyya Bukhsh on the set of his upcoming film, describing her as the project’s “new heroine” and giving fans a glimpse of the lighthearted atmosphere during the shoot.
Rajab welcomed Sumaiyya and introduced her to the team before the pair shared a lighthearted exchange. Sumaiyya revealed that it was her first day of filming for the project and said she had been on set from around 8am until 4:30pm.
Rajab jokingly told her that she would have to get used to the long hours, prompting laughter among those around them. When Sumaiyya asked whether the schedule would be similar every day, the team responded that it would be more or less the same.
Sumaiyya then joked that she would simply adjust to the routine. Rajab continued the banter, saying the team often worked according to its own schedule and joking that they could even face a scolding from Shazi’s father.
Sumaiyya also spoke about director Syed Faisal Bukhari, explaining that she had arrived according to the timing she had originally been given. Rajab told her that she should continue arriving on time despite the team’s sometimes unpredictable routine.
The conversation remained playful as Shazi joked that the director was effectively their own boss and that nobody could easily tell them off.
Rajab later asked Sumaiyya how long she had been working in the entertainment industry. She said she had been working for almost seven years but revealed that the upcoming project would be her first film.
Rajab responded with a joke about the risk he was taking by bringing her into the project, while Sumaiyya confidently told him to wait and see how she performed.
The discussion then moved to another member of the cast, Dogar. Sumaiyya said she had seen his look and character after arriving on set and believed the role had the potential to become a hit. Rajab then jokingly asked her to keep an eye on Shazi as well.
Another humorous moment came when Shazi’s father criticized the repeated takes during filming. He joked that the team had performed one scene around 75 times, leaving everyone laughing on set.
Sumaiyya’s appearance adds another familiar face to Rajab Butt’s much-discussed transition from digital content to cinema.
Current reports have confirmed Amar Khan as the female lead in the upcoming film, while Rajab’s close associates Haider, Dogar and Shahbaz are also expected to appear.
The film is being directed by Syed Faisal Bukhari, with reports describing it as an action-comedy project with a social theme. Filming has been taking place in Punjab and Bangkok, with a theatrical release planned for 2027.
