Interior Minister says Islamabadites will now be relieved from traffic jams

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the Shaheen Underpass will be opened from normal traffic from December 31, 2025, reported by 24NewsHD TV.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed these views while visiting the Shaheen Underpass in Islamabad to view finishing and carpeting work on the site early Monday morning.

During his visit, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the horticulture and landscaping around the project. The Interior Minister directed to plant more trees be planted around the project. 

He said that the Shaheen Chowk underpass would permanently resolve the long-standing traffic problems being faced by the residents of Islamabad.

Mohsin Naqvi said, “Citizens will have immense ease in transportation and will be relieved from traffic jams.”

On the occasion, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman gave a detailed briefing to the interior minister.

Chairman CDA, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, CDA Member Engineering, and other relevant officials were also accompanied by the interior minister.
