An application has been submitted to the City Court Police Station regarding an incident of alleged violence against YouTuber Rajab Butt within the City Court premises. The application was filed by Rajab Butt’s lawyer, Mian Ashfaq, seeking legal action against the lawyers involved in the incident.
According to the application, the incident occurred on December 29 when Rajab Butt entered the court premises. It is alleged that the plaintiff and other lawyers physically attacked him in a pre-planned manner. The application states that Rajab Butt was brutally tortured, resulting in serious injuries to his body.
The lawyer claimed that during the assault, Rajab Butt’s bag was snatched. While the bag was later returned, an amount of Rs300,000 allegedly kept inside was not recovered. The application also states that the accused threatened not only Rajab Butt but his legal counsel as well.
It was alleged that the mistreatment caused fear and panic within the court premises. After the initial assault, Rajab Butt was reportedly taken to the bar room, where he was tortured again.
The application maintains that video evidence of the incident is available and that witnesses can testify to the events. It names lawyers Riaz Solangi, Abdul Fateh Chandio and others, demanding strict legal action against those involved.
Police officials said the application has been received and the matter will be reviewed in accordance with the law.
