Sri Lankan low-cost carrier FitsAir is set to launch direct flights between Colombo and Lahore from January 20, further strengthening air links between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.
The airline will operate two weekly services using its Airbus A320 fleet, with flights scheduled every Tuesday and Saturday.
According to the carrier, the new connection will offer Pakistani travellers a budget-friendly option to reach Colombo and, from there, onward destinations in the region, while also giving Sri Lankan visitors easier access to northern Pakistan.
