Two notorious dacoits were gunned down during a police encounter in Tiranda Mohammad Pannah district Rahim Yar Khan on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
District Police Officer (DPO) Irfan Ali Samoon said that some armed robbers opened fire on the police party during a blockade in Taranda Muhammad Panah.
He said that two robbers were killed in police retaliatory fire. The police team also recovered weapons from their possession.
DPO Irfan Ali Soomon further revealed that other accomplices of the dacoits escaped from the scene, and the identification process of the dead dacoits is still underway.
Police started a search operation to apprehend the accomplices of the dacoits.
Injured dacoits arrested in Khairpur, Deherki
Police arrested three injured dacoits who were involved in serious criminals in separate police encounters in Khairpur and Deherki.
In Khairpur two dacoits were arrested in separate police encounters in Pir Goth Amor and Shah Hussain Police Stations.
According to details, the police team received credible information that some dacoits were waiting to snatch motorcycles and loaders.
When the police party reached the site, the dacoits started firing on the police team. During the exchange of fire, two dacoits were arrested in an injured condition.
Police also recovered two pistols and bullets from their custody. The police team is obtaining criminal records of dacoits from other districts.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur, Dr. Samiullah Soomro, lauded the outstanding performance of the police team.
In another police encounter in Deherki, one dacoit, Ghulam Rasool Malik was arrested in an injured condition. Police said the encounter took place at Link Road, Khanejo area of Deherki.
During the police encounter, four dacoits escaped from the scene, and one was arrested by the police.
Police said that the arrested dacoit was involved in serious criminal cases, including robbery, snatching, and police encounters.
Police started a search operation to arrest the accomplices of the arrested dacoit.
