Driver’s Rs4.5 billion plea-bargain in Kohistan corruption scandal approved

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman has approved the plea-bargain application of the driver of prime accused Qaiser Iqbal in the Kohistan corruption scandal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday. 

According to NAB, the accused Mumtaz made a plea bargain of Rs4.5 billion. 

The accountability court also confirmed the plea bargain application of the accused.

The accused Mumtaz is the benamidar and driver of the main accused Qaiser Khan in the Kohistan scandal.

Money was transferred to Mumtaz's account as the benamidar of the main accused. 

A transaction of Rs4.5 billion was made in the accused's account. 

The accused was taken into custody during the investigation.
