Changes in petroleum products’ prices have been proposed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that a proposal had been made to cut the price of one liter of petrol by 36 paisa.
If approved, one liter of petrol would cost Rs252.81, sources informed.
On the contrary, they added, a suggestion had been made to increase the price of one liter of High Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs9.47.
If approved, the new price of the HSD would be Rs266.55 per liter.
Sources went on to say that an increase by Rs3.69 in the price of one liter of Kerosene Oil and an increase by Rs6.95 in the price of one liter of light diesel had also been suggested.
If approved, the new prices will come into effect on February 1.
It is pertinent to mention here that in international market, the prices of crude oil are continuously on the rise.
