Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has announced tuition fee limit for the students of MBBS and BDS, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According an official notification, tuition fee limit was set on the recommendations of a committee formed by the Prime Minister.
All public and private medical and dental colleges to charge Rs 1.8 million per year. MBBS and BDS tuition fees to include all supplementary charges.
Rs 1.8 million fee has been fixed on all students of 2024-25 session. From the 2025-26 session, the fee will be increased by 5 percent to Rs 1.89 million.
After the 2026 session, the fee will be increased based on the Consumer Price Index. A separate notification will be issued for the increase based on the Consumer Price Index.
Private medical and dental colleges ordered to strictly follow the PMDC instructions. Action will be taken under the PMDC Act 2022 for violation.
