The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore will announce the results of the 2026 annual matriculation examinations at 10:00am on 6 August, while the names of the position holders will be revealed at 4:00pm on 5 August, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the board officials, around 290,000 candidates registered for this year's matriculation examinations under the Lahore Board, making it one of the largest examination exercises in the province. Students and their families are now awaiting the official declaration of the results.
The announcement comes two weeks after the Lahore Board approved a 50 percent increase in remuneration for teachers and staff performing examination duties.
The revised rates benefit thousands of personnel involved in conducting board examinations, including superintendents, deputy superintendents, invigilators, practical examiners, mobile inspectors, distributor inspectors and other examination staff.
Under the revised payment structure, the daily remuneration for superintendents was increased from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340, while deputy superintendents now receive Rs1,800 per day, up from Rs1,260.
Invigilators' daily allowance has risen from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500. Mobile inspectors now receive Rs1,620 per day instead of Rs1,080, distributor inspectors are paid Rs1,800 instead of Rs1,200, and practical examiners' remuneration has increased from Rs1,540 to Rs2,310.
Controller of Examinations Tauseef-ur-Rehman said the increase was intended to recognise the dedication, honesty and important contribution of teachers and examination staff in ensuring the smooth conduct of board examinations.
He added that the decision would help strengthen a transparent, standardised and effective examination system.
Board officials said the revised remuneration is applicable to all examination duties assigned under the Lahore Board and is expected to improve both the efficiency and morale of teachers and staff involved in the examination process.
