Israel has claimed the killing of senior Hamas leader and founding member Mohammad Issa Al-Issa in a targeted operation, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the Israeli military, Al-Issa—reportedly the mastermind behind the October 7 attack on Israel—was killed in an airstrike in the Sabra neighbourhood.
Arab media reports identified Al-Issa as the head of the support headquarters for Hamas's military wing, playing a significant operational role in planning and logistics.
In a separate development, the Israeli military also claimed responsibility for an airstrike in Lebanon that killed a senior Hezbollah commander.
The commander, identified as Abbas Al-Hassan Wahbi, was reportedly the intelligence chief of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force Battalion.
