The federal government has decided to launch a nationwide crackdown on illegal Afghan nationals, directing authorities to arrest any Afghan citizen residing in Pakistan without a valid visa from July 10 onwards.

According to an official letter issued by the Ministry of Interior, instructions have been sent to the chief secretaries of all four provinces, as well as the chief secretaries of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, to ensure strict implementation of the decision.

The Chief Commissioner of Islamabad has also been directed to oversee enforcement in the federal capital.

The ministry has instructed provincial administrations to accelerate the deportation of Afghan nationals who are living in Pakistan without valid visas or have overstayed their visas.

The letter directs all deputy commissioners, police authorities, and other law enforcement agencies to take the necessary measures to implement the government's directives.
