Former MPA Gandapur announces leaving PTI, Imran Khan

Former Member Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (MPA) Sardar Aghaz Akramullah Khan Gandapur announced leaving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Chairman Imran Khan over the issue of May 9 attacks on the Pak army installations and martyrs monuments.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Aghaz Gandapur address a press conference in Peshawar Press Club on Sunday and said he belongs to a family of army martyrs so he can understand the pain of the May 9 incidents.
Gandapur said he and his family were standing with the PTI despite the martyrdom of his uncle but now after the May 9 incidents, they cannot continue their affiliation with the party and Imran Khan Sahab as Pakistan is suffering from such incidents.
He said those who were involved in the events of May 9 should be punished as they joined politics for honour but Pakistan is more important to their honour.
He said Pakistan is existing because of the Pak Army. He added that the Pak Army always helped them whenever they knocked on the door.
Anyhow, he announced to contest the next general elections as an independent candidate.
