Police have arrested the suspect involved in snatching the wallet of national cricketer Hassan Ali’s mother.
The accused, identified as Ibrahim alias Ali, a resident of Mohini Road near Data Darbar in Lahore, was apprehended by Ludhiwala Warraich police.
According to officials, the accused had been staying at a relative’s house on Gaddafi Road in Gujranwala when he committed the crime.
A special police team, supervised by SSP Operations Rizwan Tariq, traced the suspect using modern investigative techniques and CCTV footage.
Police also recovered the stolen items from the accused, who is now under investigation.
“No matter how clever the criminal is, he cannot escape the clutches of the law,” said the City Police Officer (CPO). He added that the accused will face the strictest legal action in court.
