A tragic accident occurred on National Highway near the 5 Mile Stop in Tehsil Sakrand on Thursday, where a passenger coach travelling from Karachi to Punjab overturned, leaving more than 15 people injured and claiming the life of a seven-month-old girl.
According to police, the accident was caused by overspeeding, leading the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The deceased infant was identified as Sehrish, daughter of Abrar, a resident of Lahore.
The injured included several passengers from Multan, namely Habibullah, Asad, Salimullah, another child named Sehrish, Anam, Muhammad Tahir, Zaheer, and others. Emergency services shifted those with critical injuries to Nawabshah Hospital for urgent treatment.
