Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosts reception for global Hajj guests in Mina

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted a grand reception for distinguished guests from around the world at the Mina Grand Palace during the annual Hajj pilgrimage, with senior Pakistani officials attending the ceremony and praising the Kingdom’s arrangements for pilgrims.

Pakistan was represented at the reception by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, who also met the Saudi Crown Prince on the occasion.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and religious scholar Tahir Ashrafi also attended the reception ceremony.

 

Governor Sindh Nihal Hashmi was also present at the event alongside dignitaries from across the Muslim world.

The ceremony was attended by the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques, heads of Hajj administrative committees and special guests invited under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ guest programme from various countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Yousuf thanked the Saudi government for what he described as excellent arrangements for Hajj pilgrims. He said the Kingdom’s initiatives aimed at serving pilgrims and facilitating their religious obligations were highly commendable.

The minister conveyed special congratulations on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the successful and exemplary management of Hajj operations this year.

The reception formed part of the Saudi leadership’s annual engagements with international delegates and Hajj guests during the pilgrimage season in Mecca.
