Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has appreciated Pakistan’s “effective efforts” to help reach an agreement between Iran and the United States, in remarks seen as an implicit confirmation that a Pakistani-mediated understanding has been achieved, reported Iranian media.
In a post on X platform uploaded on Friday, President Masoud Pezeshkian thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his initiative and effective efforts to reach a peace agreement with the United States.
Pezeshkian also thanked Malaysia’s prime minister for his humanitarian stance. While writing on his official X handle, the Iranian president said, “Iran's policy is to expand cooperation with Muslim and neighbouring countries in all fields.”

In an earlier call to PM Shehbaz Sharif two days ago, Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic, trade, and customs sectors, as well as to continue joint consultations in support of regional peace and stability.
During the call, President Pezeshkian congratulated the friendly and brotherly government and people of Pakistan on Eid al-Adha and appreciated Islamabad’s constructive and responsible role in supporting diplomatic initiatives and efforts aimed at reducing tensions and ending the ongoing conflicts and crises in the region.

Pezeshkian also emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination among Islamic countries in order to protect the stability, security, and common interests of the Islamic world.

For his part, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Eid greetings to the Iranian president, government, and people, expressing hope that the ongoing diplomatic process would lead to final, effective, and sustainable results in the near future and pave the way for strengthening peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
