In the wake of PTI’s long march, the PML-N led government and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf have indulged in political wrangling as both have said that they are not interested in talks showing an extreme kind of trust deficit in each other, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday night formed a political committee of the Federal Cabinet for holding negotiations with the long marchers. The committee comprising 13 members will be led by Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan.
The members include: Ayaz Sadiq, Saad Rafiq, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Khalid Maqbool, Mian Iftikhar, Asad Mahmood, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Tariq Basheer Cheema.
The premier said the committee was established to maintain law and order and hold political talks regarding the long march. He said if anyone wanted to talk about the long march, it would be done with the committee as their doors were always open for negotiations.
But, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry termed the news of government’s offer for negotiation a frivolus one saying that on one hand, the government was arresting the PTI activists and on the other, had formed a non-serious committee only to engage the Azadi march.
In his tweet posted on Saturday, Fawad wrote: “The news of government's invitation for talks is frivolous. On the one hand, PTI workers are being arrested and there are restrictions on the coverage of Haqeeqi Azadi March, on the other hand, the news of formation of a non-serious committee is only to engage the Azadi March. These tricks will not do, give the election date.”

Meanwhile, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the foreign funded fraudsters and group of liars have nothing to say and there is no chance of holding negotiations with them.
In a statement, the minister said that the foreign funded Fitna (disruptors) wanted to create anarchy and disruption in the country and they wanted to spill blood.
“The reality of foreign funded Fitna cannot be concealed by spreading mental filth on roads. Now their lies have been exposed,” she added.
She castigated Imran Khan saying that the foreign funded group before sending a notice of damages to the chief election commissioner, should have replied to the notice sent to it by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Defence Minister Khwaja Asif.
Aurangzeb said that Imran sent damages notices to the CEC because the latter refused to become his slave, declined to give him an NRO in foreign funding case, caught the PTI men in Daska for stealing bags of ballot papers and kidnapping election staff .
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Khwaja Asif has said that election will be held on its constitutional time and there is no chance of negotiations regarding holding early election, the litany of which the PTI is raising.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Kh Asif wrote: “The election will be held at the constitutional time, God willing. Negotiations and consensus among political forces on national issues is a part of the democratic mood. There is no possibility of the negotiations (regarding early elections) that PTI is making noise. Let Imran Khan fulfill all his desires. At present, the Indian media is giving him full attention and air time, enjoy it.”
