The Punjab Weightlifting Association, in collaboration with the Punjab Olympic Association, has announced the launch of the Inter-College and Schools Men’s Weightlifting Championship, scheduled to take place on November 5 and 6, 2025 at the National Weightlifting Club, Nishter Park Punjab Stadium, Lahore.
According to Aqeel Javed Butt, Secretary of the Punjab Weightlifting Association, the championship is designed to provide a national platform for young weightlifters to demonstrate their strength, skill, and competitive spirit. The event is part of a broader effort to promote weightlifting at the grassroots level and identify emerging talent from educational institutions across Punjab.
The championship will begin daily at 11:00 AM, with weighing sessions scheduled from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Participants will compete across eight weight categories: 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 94kg, 110kg, and +110kg.
