Deputy Commissioner Lahore Thursday issued an official rate list of the food goods with increased prices, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
According to the rate list, the prices of grocery and food items including pulses, rice, mutton and beef were hiked.
Mutton and beef prices were increased by Rs100 each after which the prices were Rs1600 and Rs800 per kg respectively.
The rate of Basmati rice was increased by Rs5 making the new price Rs315 per kg.
The price of chickpeas was increased by Rs10 setting the price at Rs225 per kg whereas the chickpea flour (besan) will be sold at Rs230 per kg after a price hike of Rs15.
The new price of roti in the list was Rs20 after a raise of Rs2.
