The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has decided to register cases against eight more YouTubers and social media influencers in the betting app promotion case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the agency has sought legal advice from its department before proceeding with the cases against the newly identified influencers.

So far, the agency has already registered cases against eight YouTubers, including popular content creators Saad Ur Rehman and Mudasir Hussain, who have been taken into custody.

Others named in the case include Rajab Butt, Nadeem Nani Wala, Iqra Kanwal, and Anas Ali.

Teams have reportedly been formed to arrest the remaining accused.

The crackdown is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to curb the online promotion of illegal betting applications across social media platforms.

Earlier, a court adjourned the hearing on the bail applications of YouTuber Ducky Bhai and his wife, Arooba Jato, in the gambling app promotion case.

During the proceedings, the investigating officer appeared before the court of Additional Sessions Judge Dr Sajida Ahmed and sought more time, stating that the probe was still underway.
