Govt decides to digitize Pakistan Nursing Council by minimizing human intervention

The federal government has decided to digitize the Pakistan Nursing Council and all the affairs of the Nursing Council will be computerized as soon as possible to promote merit and transparency by minimizing human intervention, reported 24NesHDTV Channel. 

Health Minister Mustafa Kamal made the decision while chairing meeting about Nursing Council was taken at a meeting chaired by the Health Minister.

Kamal said the government will restore the lost reputation in the nursing sector, adding that Pakistan Nursing Council will be made a modern, effective and international standard institution. 

Health Minister Mustafa Kamal said nursing sector was very important in the health sector. He said there is a shortage of 900,000 nurses in Pakistan. He said there is currently a shortage of about 2.5 million qualified nurses around the world. 

Kamal said the nursing sector will be developed on modern lines and reforms were underway for the betterment of the nursing sector.
