A court adjourned the hearing on the bail applications of YouTuber Ducky Bhai and his wife, Arooba Jato, in the gambling app promotion case, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the proceedings, the investigating officer appeared before the court of Additional Sessions Judge Dr Sajida Ahmed and sought more time, stating that the probe was still underway.
The court accepted the request and directed the officer to submit the complete investigation record at the next hearing.
According to court records, Ducky Bhai’s post-arrest bail and Arooba Jatoi’s interim bail applications were under consideration.
The next hearing will take place on October 2, where further progress in the case is expected.
The case revolves around allegations that Ducky Bhai along with several other social media influencers, promoted an illegal gambling app on digital platforms.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) initiated action after the app was found to be involved in fraudulent activities and online betting, leading to significant public losses.
Ducky Bhai was arrested earlier this month, while his wife, Arooba Jatoi, secured temporary relief through interim bail.
The couple has denied any involvement in illegal promotion, claiming they were unaware of the app’s fraudulent nature.
The FIA, however, maintains that influencers received payments for endorsing the app, and investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of financial transactions and responsibility in the scam.
