Chughtai Labs Lahore has started vaccination against the coronavirus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.

The vaccination centre of the Chughtai Labs will become fully operational from next Monday where the people can get a jab of Russia’s Sputnik V Vaccine.

Talking to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Chief Executive Officer of Chughtai Labs, Dr Sohail Chughtai said Sputnik V Vaccine is completely safe and adults having age 18 and above can get a jab of the vaccine.

He said Russia’s Sputnik V Vaccine has been declared safe with an efficacy rate of 92%.

He thanked the government for giving the private sector opportunity to share the burden of the vaccination process.

He said they are creating a web portal where the people can get them registered for the vaccination and they would be vaccinated at the given stipulated time.

Dr Sohail said the people would also undergo a complete medical check-up before being vaccinated to check whether they can be vaccinated or not and they have the experts at their disposal to determine the health of the vaccine aspirants.

He said it is their priority to accommodate persons with chronic diseases first who are more vulnerable to the disease

He said the two doses of Russia’s Sputnik V Vaccine are available at a rate of Rs12250, which includes the whole process and is lesser than the price set by the government.

He said the process of the vaccination has been started at the Labs from today (Saturday) while their vaccination centre would become fully operational from Monday.
