An elderly couple has been murdered in Bani Gala police precincts in the federal capital Islamabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

Police rushed to the spot and launched started investigation.

Sources in police said the deceased have been identified as ex-Maj Shahid Rehman and his spouse. 

The bodies were shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.

Police registered a case on the complaint the son of 74-year-old ex-serviceman.
