Locals influential persons in Larkana locked the Government Girls Middle School of Shahdadkot, demanding that the government provide them jobs because the school land was their property, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The women teachers and girl students could not enter the school, and they protested against the forced closure of the school.

“The school has been forcibly locked by the influential people of the village,” Headmistress Hajal Selro said.

“These influential people claim that the school land is their personal property, and they should be given jobs,” she added.

“We are not being allowed to open the school from August 1. More than 100 girl students are being deprived of their right to education,” she deplored.

“The closure of the school has been reported to the school education authorities,” she stated.

“The school should be opened soon, and an action should be taken against those responsible,” the girl students demanded.
