♦ A Sri Lankan manager killed in a Sialkot factory by violent workers; enraged workers dragged the body on the road and set it on fire; No one came forward to help as police remained a silent spectator and people continued making selfies with the burning body in horrific scenes; Prime Minister ordered strict action against those responsible; Said the incident brought shame to the country; said no one should remain in an illusion as those who are responsible for the incident would be severely punished; Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also condemned the incident; said such extra-judicial steps are absolutely unacceptable

♦ Tahir-ul-Ashrafi termed the murder of factory manager in Sialkot as horrific and barbaric; says those who committed this intense crime have defamed Islam and Pakistan; says attempts were made to harm the law of  “Naamuus-e-Risaalat”; Maulana tariq Jameel said the incident of burning alive a foreigner over blasphemy was condemnable; said it was against the teachings of Islam to take the law into own hands on mere assumptions
