University of Punjab (PU) Friday announced remaining closed on Monday due to heavy smog in the city of Lahore.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the university management has also announced online classes for the students on Monday.

The channel report said that the PU’s campuses including New and Old would remain closed on Monday in view of the smog situation in the direction of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The PU Registrar Khalid Khan has issued a notification of closure of the university on Monday and online classes of the students too.

Pertinent to mention here that the University was also closed due to a smog issue last Monday.
