Sindh reopens shrines for public

The province of Sindh, also known as the land of Sufis, has opened all the shrines, after the closure of two months, under the coronavirus SOPs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

A large number of pilgrims visited the shrines of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi on Wednesday and offered fateha khawani.

Minister for Auqaf Suhail Anwar Sial also paid a surprise visit to Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine in Karachi for the inspection of the implementation of the coronavirus SOPs. He stressed the need for the strict following of SOPs including mask-wearing and social distancing to contain the virus spread. 

He also prayed for an end to the deadly virus from the country.

On the other hand, the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandhar has also been reopened to the public after the hiatus of two months in Sehwan Sharif.

Jamshoro Deputy Commissioner Abdul Rahim Qureshi said devotees are required to wear masks and observe social distancing.

Land of Sufis, Sindh has a number of shrines including sufi poet Sachal Sarmast located in Daraza Sharif in Khairpur.
