Unknown attackers shot dead a former councilor outside his doorstep in Sangla Hill, besides injuring two women on Monday.

Reportedly, some unidentified assailants knocked at the door of ex-councilor Azmat in Chak 286 Mahees South in Sangla Hill early in the morning.

When the former councilor came out, the attackers opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. Two women who were inside the house also got injured in the firing.

The injured women were shifted to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.
