Trans person shot at for refusing to go on ‘date’

A transgender person was shot at on refusing to go with a man in Faisal Town, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

According to police, an armed man wanted to take a trans person, Rosy, with him in Faisal Town. But Rosy was unwilling to go with him and declined his offer.

The man flew into rage over Rosy’s refusal. He took out his pistol and shot at the transgender person. The bullet hit Rosy’s abdomen injuring her seriously. 

Rosy was shifted to a local hospital.

Police registered a case and were searching for the accused. 

The transgender persons who have already been living on the margins of society due to their poor condition, they often become prey to the scorn and cruelty of people.
